We're back from the just concluded Ocala Breeders Sale with our latest purchase of 2008. We're extremely proud and honored to announce our latest offering. He's Smart Justice, the handsome two-year old chestnut colt, the son of Kentucky Derby & Preakness winner Smarty Jones purchased for $110,000. We expect him to join our powerful Fantasy Lane Stable at beautiful Monmouth Park this summer - the proud home of the 2007 Breeders's Cup.
SMART JUSTICE

This 2-year old colt worked lights out at the undertack show racing one of the fastest furlongs of the 1,381 cataloged. The colt worked spectacularly getting one furlong in 10.1. He then proceeded to gallop out strongly as we caught him for a quarter mile in 21.2; three furlongs in 34 flat, and finally being pulled up after a half mile in 49 seconds flat.
Our clocker reported it was quite an impressive move placing him in the top 5 of all youngsters who breezed in the undertack show. He's very light on his feet and just glides along while gobbling up distance with an extremely long reach just like his old man.

In our opinion, the fact Smart Justice is a May foal is a giant plus. This means he still has some growing to do. He accomplished what he did at the undertack show competing as a boy against men. In a few months, the age difference will diminish; therefore, making this purchase that much more attractive. These are Smarty Jones' first crop of two-year olds and very big things are expected when his initial class hits the racetrack.

Elusive Quality-I'll Get Along, by Smile
Standing at:
THREE CHIMNEYS FARM - Midway, KY
2008 Fee: $100,000 LIVE FOAL
His sire Smarty Jones captured a nation just missing the last leg of 2004 Triple Crown. He is America's #1 Freshman Sales Sire who stands for $100,000 a live foal.
Smarty Jones was the popular winner of the 2004 Kentucky Derby & Preakness. He just missed the Triple Crown when finishing second to Birdstone. Some believe, that if not for a better ride, he may have truly been a Triple Crown champion?
To realize the full impact of his greatness take a look at who he beat in the Kentucky Derby.
No less than 16 of his 2004 Kentucky Derby class have gone on to become outstanding sires in their own right. And it's still Smarty Jones who commands the highest stud fee at $100,000.
We expect this offering to sell-out very quickly. The current plan is to bring Smart Justice north within the next few weeks. He'll then be turned out locally to unwind from all the hustle and bustle of the just completed sale. This is good for his psyche while providing SJ with the necessary time to fill out physically and mature.
By July, he'll be ready to resume training at Monmouth Park as we hope to have him ready to strut his stuff come late summer or early fall. The upside for this exceptional colt is unlimited.
We're really very fortunate and blessed to have Smart Justice join Fantasy Lane Stable. We do hope that you decide to join us for all the fun and excitement.
