For the past four consecutive years we've been fortunate to discover four stake horses. And recently on December 26th we opened our latest Christmas Present in Uptowncharlybrown.
This one may be very special as the handsome chestnut son of Limehouse was purchased for $57,000 at auction last April at OBS. He was sold-out before we even made a bid. And why not when there had been three stake horses bought the previous three years.
Much was expected and he did not disappoint as he made a very impressive debut at Tampa Bay Downs on December 26, 2009 in which he destroyed an overmatched field winning off in hand by 9 lengths. His next start will be in a stake as we're officially Triple Crown Bound. The further he goes the longer, more impressive, his impressive stride gets...

The story began in April
then moved to Monmouth Park in July
and in his first work, he blew the doors off the barn as he had the bullet work for every distance
then it was on to Tampa Bay Downs in December. And, on the day after Christmas, we unveiled our present to the wonderful FLS partners!
Uptowncharlybrown's performance was ELECTRIFYING
Jockey, Daniel Centeno, notched his third win on the program aboard Uptowncharlybrown, this time for Fantasy Lane Stable and trainer, Alan Seewald.

Was Charly a one time flash in the pan? Not really as he came back just 3 weeks later on January 16th and crushed an overmatched field in the Pasco Stakes winning off by 6 widening lengths.
