FLS thoroughbred, Distant Bells Distant Bells, a 5-year-old mare, has been retired and is now a broodmare. We bred her to Tapit, one of the hottest freshman sires in the United States. Her first foal is expected to be a Pennsylvania-bred born in 2009. Bells was cut out to be a very nice filly before a string of debilitating injuries cut short her once-promising career. If her foal is anything like her, she'll race a hole in the wind. Bells has been known to get a half mile in 43 seconds.
